Description

One from the Sliding Doors vaults, the Tonium Pacemaker campaign remains one of our all-time favourites; ground-breaking, disruptive tech, so far ahead of its time. The Pacemaker was a hand-held DJ system – the equivalent of two turntables, a mixer, an effects unit, and your whole music collection, all in the palm of your hand. Sliding Doors won the account and set about positioning the Pacemaker as the future of DJing.

 

Alongside a traditional PR campaign, we set up a series of tour dates showcasing Pacemaker’s ability to let the DJ leave the booth and mix from anywhere on the dancefloor. We worked closely with Tonium to develop a host of collaborations and brand ambassadors. We targeted a complete range of media and delivered results that cemented Pacemaker’s position as one of the hottest new tech launches of the year. Sliding Doors continued to represent Tonium overseeing new product launches including updated versions of the Pacemaker and the launch of the Let’s Mix DJ mix streaming platform.

 

Coverage secured included Stuff Magazine (front cover + placed #3 in the Stuff Cool List Awards), T3 Magazine (full page), Mixmag (front cover with Richie Hawtin), DJ Mag (multiple features), iDJ, The Independent, Mail On Sunday, Sunday Times, Daily Mirror,  Music Radar, CNET, Future Music, Techdigest, The Gadget Show, BBC Radio 1.

 

Following our successful campaign our head honcho James was asked to become the exclusive UK sales agent for Tonium, going on to win accounts with HMV, Best Buy, Dixons, Urban Outfitters, Selfridges, Harrods and many more – turning the UK into the brand’s most successful market.
