Description
Sliding Doors was brought on board to handle the launch of XOYO Birmingham – sister club to the iconic XOYO London. We worked with the team to really understand the brief and the importance of establishing the new venue with its own identity – a club for Birmingham run by a team from Birmingham. We identified key angles for different media, such as the modular nature of the club design and the launch of a new cultural hub for the region. XOYO ran a clever teaser poster campaign that we were able to use to generate immediate press interest, using this as a platform for widespread coverage upon launch.
Sliding Doors secured coverage in Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Decoded, Data Transmission, NME, Birmingham Mail, Secret Birmingham, Birmingham World, Time Out and many more.
After our initial launch campaign, we were asked by venue owners TEG Europe to continue running PR for XOYO Birmingham, and to add XOYO London, Tramshed, The Globe, and Camden Assembly to our roster. We continue to secure high-value venue, event, and artist press across this portfolio.
